Job Overview:
PrimeCare Medical, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and meticulous Remote Medical Transcriber to convert recorded or dictated medical reports, such as patient histories, physical exams, and clinical notes, into accurate written documentation. The ideal candidate will have excellent typing skills, a strong knowledge of medical terminology, and a high degree of accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transcribe audio recordings from healthcare providers into accurate written formats for patient records, including patient histories, physical exams, and treatment plans.
  • Review transcriptions for accuracy, completeness, and consistency with medical terminology and industry standards.
  • Ensure all patient information is documented with utmost confidentiality, following HIPAA and other regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify any unclear dictation or terminology.
  • Proofread and edit transcriptions to ensure clarity, grammar, and medical accuracy.
  • Maintain organized, accurate, and up-to-date transcription files in the company’s database system.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for improving documentation workflows and processes.
  • Stay updated on changes to medical terminology, transcription software, and healthcare regulations.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Medical Transcriber or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, abbreviations, and procedures.
  • Excellent typing skills with high accuracy and speed (minimum 60 words per minute).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote setting.
  • Familiarity with transcription software and tools.
  • High level of attention to detail and strong proofreading skills.
  • Strong communication skills for clarification of dictation when needed.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
  • Certification in Medical Transcription (preferred) or related field is a plus.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and other healthcare regulations is essential.
