Position Summary

Our Senior Specialist will be responsible for the trend forecasting and product development at SHEIN X. The candidate will report to the Senior Marketing Manager in a fast-paced working environment. Our ideal candidate will be adept at using data to identify upcoming fashion trends, collaborating with designers, and creating strateiges that drive the success of our collection. Your data-driven insights will inform collection themes, product designs, and seasonal strategies to ensure our collection resonate with customers and achieve sales targets.

Job Responsibilities

  • Trend Forecasting & Collection Theme Development
  • Analyze fashion trends, consumer behavior, and market data to forecast upcoming apparel collection themes.
  • Use industry reports, social media trends, and cultural insights to predict key color palettes, silhouettes, and styles for the upcoming seasons.
  • Identify and evaluate potential designers to collaborate with, based on their design aesthetic, portfolio, and alignment with brand vision.
  • Product Development Planning
  • Work with cross-functional teams to create a comprehensive product development plan, ensuring alignment between design, production, and merchandising.
  • Develop detailed seasonal briefs and provide key product insights to guide the design process, balancing creativity with data-driven insights.
  • Monitor product development timelines and ensure timely delivery of collections to meet market demands.
  • Data Analysis & Performance Recaps
  • Analyze sales performance, consumer feedback, and market data to evaluate which products performed well and which did not.
  • Create actionable reports and presentations summarizing the performance of past collections, providing insights and recommendations for future collections.
  • Utilize data analysis tools to track trends, spot emerging opportunities, and refine merchandising strategies.
  • Collaboration with Designers & Cross-Functional Teams
  • Work closely with designers to ensure alignment between trend forecasts and the final product designs.
  • Provide input and feedback to designers throughout the product development process, helping to shape designs that resonate with our target audience and meet sales objectives.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to ensure the products align with the overall brand messaging and marketing campaigns.


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Fashion, Fashion Merchandising, Business, Data Analytics, or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in fashion and/or fashion merchandising, trend forecasting, or product development within the fashion industry is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, or similar) to drive decision-making.
  • Proven ability to forecast trends and create successful merchandising strategies that meet sales and customer needs.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with designers, cross-functional teams, and senior leadership.
  • A keen eye for fashion trends, strong understanding of the fashion lifecycle, and a deep passion for the industry.


Pay

$67,200.00 min. - $86,400.00 max annually. Bonus offered.
