Location: Sterling, Virginia
Type: Hourly, Part-time (No benefits)
Starting Pay: $20/hour

About Us:
We’re Preferred Staging, a nationally recognized, award-winning home staging company, specializing in creating stunning spaces for the luxury real estate market. We pride ourselves on delivering top-notch service throughout the Washington DC metro area, helping homes sell quickly and for top dollar through beautiful and strategic staging.

Position Overview:
As our Warehouse Coordinator and Staging Assistant, you’ll be part of a small, tight-knit team that’s passionate about making homes look amazing. The work can be physically demanding—there’s inventory to move and manage, and a lot of behind-the-scenes effort—but if you love being hands-on, staying active, and enjoy transforming spaces, this role can be really rewarding. No two days are exactly alike, and there’s plenty of variety to keep things interesting. Plus, you’ll get to see your hard work come to life in beautifully staged homes.

This position is essential in maintaining our inventory and supporting our staging team. We need someone who can efficiently handle daily warehouse tasks while also stepping in to assist the team during stagings. If you enjoy working independently, staying organized, and managing multiple responsibilities, this role could be a great fit for you. You’ll oversee professional movers, help with both stagings and destagings, and play a key role in keeping our warehouse operations running smoothly.

On-the-job training is provided, and the position includes a 60-day probationary period to assess performance and fit within the company.

This is an hourly, part-time position with no benefits. The starting pay is $20/hour. The hours are flexible and depend on the weekly schedule, though start time on staging days is 7:30 am. The applicant must have their own car and be able to transport large items such as lamp shades, bins, and art.

Compensation and Perks:

  • Hourly Pay: Starting at $20/hour.
  • Flexible hours based on the weekly schedule.
  • Employee discount where applicable.
  • Cell phone stipend and mileage reimbursement.

  • Over time, help improve day-to-day operations by suggesting efficient ways to maximize space and simplify processes.
  • Communicate clearly with the team and vendors, both verbally and in writing.

  • Work under the direction of the lead stager for both stagings and destagings.
  • Manage bins, packing materials, and other items to ensure proper return and restocking in the warehouse.

  • Assist with unpacking/unwrapping inventory, steaming bedding, and other tasks assigned by the lead stager.
  • Assist with loading and unloading vehicles for staging and destaging projects.
  • For destagings, wrap, pack, and label inventory in preparation for return to the warehouse and unpack and restock shelves upon return.
