We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Detox Technician to join our team at West Valley Detox, a leading detox/residential treatment facility in Tarzana and Sherman Oaks, California.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about helping others overcome addiction and achieve long-term recovery.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Admission and Intake Procedures: Assist with admission procedures, including paperwork, room assignments, and initial orientation for new residents.
  • Property Searches: Conduct property searches of residents as required by program standards.
  • Urine Drug Screen Testing: Perform urine drug screen testing of residents as required.
  • Transportation Services: Provide transportation services, including resident transportation, donation pick-ups, agency errands, etc.
  • Education and Training: Attend in-service training and educational workshops to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Staff Meetings: Attend all required staff meetings to stay informed and engaged.

Requirements:

  • Treatment Experience: Previous treatment experience is strongly preferred.
  • Certifications: RADT or RAC certification is preferred.

  • Document Resident Progress: Document resident intake and treatment progress.
  • Mitigate Crisis: Mitigate crisis situations effectively.
  • Liaison with Treatment Team: Liaise with and refer to treatment team, inside and outside agencies.
  • Assess Resident Behavior: Assess and report resident behavioral changes.
  • Personal Boundaries: Identify personal boundaries and work effectively as part of the treatment team.
  • Professional Standards: Adhere to professional standards and best practices.
