JOB SUMMARY

The purpose of this role is to guide the product and development teams to stay focused and to complete what they've committed to on time and within budget.

The Sunrise Product Manager is responsible for the product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle for a designated area within the solution suite. This includes defining and prioritizing product features, gathering and analyzing market and customer requirements, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions, and ensuring the product meets its business objectives.

KEY RESPONSBILITIES

Product Strategy & Roadmap Development

  • Define and maintain a clear and compelling product vision and roadmap aligned with market trends, customer needs, and business objectives.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Develop and maintain product requirements documents, user stories, and other product specifications.
  • Prioritize product features based on value, feasibility, and market demand.

Product Development & Delivery

  • Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and QA teams to ensure timely and successful product delivery.
  • Manage the product development lifecycle, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release management.
  • Ensure product quality and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Monitor product performance and gather user feedback to identify areas for improvement.

Customer Engagement & Support

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to inform product decisions.
  • Conduct customer demonstrations and presentations to showcase product value.
  • Provide product training and support to internal and external stakeholders.

Go-to-Market Strategy

  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop and execute go-to-market strategies.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and track product performance.
  • Analyze market data and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth and expansion.

Financial Management

  • Manage product budgets and track key financial metrics, such as revenue, costs, and profitability.
  • Develop and present business cases for new product initiatives.

Project Management

  • Effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget and scope.
  • Utilize Agile methodologies and project management tools to track progress and identify potential risks.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent years of experience. MBA preferred.

Experience

  • 4-7 years of relevant experience in product management in the healthcare IT industry.
  • Proven experience in managing the product lifecycle, from concept to launch and beyond.
  • Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies.
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
  • Experience in managing a P&L and/or finance background
  • Experience with data analysis and market research.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with healthcare IT solutions, such as EHRs, EMRs, and other clinical applications.
  • Familiarity with relational databases and data analysis tools.
  • Basic understanding of software development principles and technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong customer focus and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to adapt to change and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of acute clinical areas preferred, i.e. orders, meds management, clinical docs, care management, etc.

WORK ARRANGEMENTS

Remote role. Standard work week with occasional need for after-hours or weekend work.

TRAVEL

Approx. 20% to include conferences, site visits and/or addressing client issues.

Salary Range

$90,000—$110,000 USD
